High speed MagDrive™ technology allows for faster grading closer to the total station by turning the instruments up to 115° per second. MagDrive also offers fast pointing, aiming and tracking as well as slow motion controls for manual aiming for measurement tasks.
Trimble Universal Total Stations use SurePoint™ technology to automatically correct horizontal and vertical angles and instrument pointing for mislevelment of the instrument so your measurements will be accurate even if you don’t set up the instrument perfectly level.
Fixed, low latency, synchronized data and a 20 Hz update rate is provided by Trimble Universal Total Stations so you can reliably track a machine target and know that the data being passed from the instrument to the machine is done as quickly and as accurately as possible. Real-time fine grading can be done to millimeter accuracy for motor grader and dozer applications, while increasing productivity by reducing rework.
Universal Total Stations use 3 Hz DR scanning for super fast scanning for vertical/sloping profile measurements and stockpile scans to significantly reduce the time it takes to measure material stockpile volumes or profile rock faces safely.
Two models, the SPS730 and SPS930, are available in two models to best meet your needs and level of functionality. The SPS730 and SPS930 Universal Total Stations from Trimble can be used for:
- Smaller construction sites or combined with GNSS on larger sites
- Tasks where the accuracy requirements are very tight: 3 millimeters (0.01 feet)
- Measuring dangerous or inaccessible locations
- High precision machine control and guidance
- Reflectorless measurement of stockpiles, rock faces, cuttings and structures
- Layout of structures, foundations, caissons and piles
- Tunnel measurement
- As-built records and grade checks on laid material
